Receiving an award is always a great acknowledgement, but to win it unexpectedly makes the satisfaction double. The Awards ceremony of the World of Fitness winners in "Sport and Culture” the Oscars of Italian Italian Sport, took place on Sunday 7 September in Rome. This was the ninth edition of this awards ceremony which was founded in 2004 by the Claudio Barbaro, President of the ASI Association.
When Franco Marino, the presenter, opened the envelope announcing that we were the winners, it was a big surprise for us, for two reasons. First, because the organizers only found out about our project on the Internet (go social media!). And second, because the two other finalists we presenting projects which where both beautiful : the General Staff of Defence had a project promoting worldwide activity sports athletes from the disabled Army, and the Municipality of Rimini had a project on sports scholarships for youth in difficulty.
So, congratulations to all and a big thank you to the organizers and jurors!
